We are bringing together the Singaporeans involved in startups and technology together in an inaugural meetup. Meet Andrew Ng (Professor, Stanford University; Co-founder, Coursera; Raffles alum), Christopher Cheang (Consul-General, Singapore), and other Singaporeans working at startups and tech companies in the area. Andrew will be sharing his experience starting up Coursera and also the latest developments in AI research. Andrew was last at SingaporeConnect's Idea Pitching Event as well.
We hope that this inaugural meetup will help us bring together the local Singaporean community, and be a starting point for new connections and ideas.
And most importantly, there will be awesome Singaporean food catered.

Coursera and the Overseas Singaporean Unit (OSU) and are jointly organising this inaugural meetup for Singaporean professionals in the technology industry.
Coursera is an edtech platform that partners with top universities and organizations worldwide, to offer courses online for anyone to take, for free. We aim to empower people with education that will improve their lives, the lives of their families, and the communities they live in. There are over eight Singaporeans working at Coursera today, and most of the founding team were from Singapore too.
OSU plans and coordinates Public-Private-People sectors’ efforts to engage and connect with Overseas Singaporeans and forge connections with each other and with Singapore.
