Bak kut teh and a conversation on creative entrepreneurship after the San Francisco Dream Stall screening!

An evening for creatives

We felt many networking mixers here are all about tech. This one is for artists, chefs, writers, photographers, filmmakers and animators who are turning a passion into a business, and for anyone who wants to meet them.

‍

The SingaporeConnect Arts & Entrepreneurship Networking Mixer follows the San Francisco screening of Dream Stall on Sunday, November 15, 2026, part of the SingaporeConnect Dream Stall Tour presented by Eight Parables.

‍

What to expect
  • A special bak kut teh pop-up by Dabao Singapore, a pork rib soup associated with Singapore and Malaysia that is not on Dabao's regular menu, bringing the film's food-stall story to the table.
  • Fireside chat creative entrepreneurship with Annette Lee, director and lead actress of Dream Stall, and Emily Lim, founder of Dabao Singapore.
  • Hosted by Bay Area content creator and former Google employee Joanna Hope Lai.

‍

Who it is for

Everyone, especially artists and illustrators, chefs and culinary artists, authors and creative writers, photographers, videographers and documentary filmmakers, and animators. If you make things and want to build a living or a business around them, or you want to meet people who do, join us.
